The Doors' guitarist was Robbie Krieger. He played primarily Gibson guitars, an SG, a Black Beauty triple pickup with a Bigsby, and a two pickup 54 Custom . The guitar shown here is a copy of the 2 pickup. It is aged and signed by Robbie on the head stock. See the photos. The Doors is an enigma to this day how these guys with very little equipment could write , record and produce quite a number of albums before Morrison's early death of absolutely mind-blowing songs. Morrison who apparently was constantly drunk and stoned had the ability to write tune after tune, with this little band able to perform them. The guitar is a faithful reproduction of Robbie's guitar. It is in brand new condition, and ships in the original carton and case, with all tags and COA. Ebony fretboards are reserved for special pieces as this one is. The fret wires are very low, in the fretless wonder style. This guitar is brand new. It is fairly heavy at 8 pounds 14 ounces. Does not have a Gibson warranty as we are technically the first owners, and are not authorized dealers. We collect and play. Satisfaction is guaranteed. Returns accepted if not as described or defective. Otherwise in some instances there may be a 10% restocking fee. Please see photos below.
