This RR1 has long been my favorite player, the guitar of my dreams and the best sounding guitar that I have in my collection at the moment. Alas, I never play standing up anymore due to my health, and i have never gotten use to sitting with a V shaped guitar. I fell in love with this guitar the moment that i saw the finish. The pearl effect, swirl, and color transition are amazing. I tried and tried but could not capture the way that it truly looks. I have seen a lot of other Jackson Swirls, and none, especially the newer grayish ones even come close. This particular guitar has not spent much time in the case, I always preferred to have it in my line of sight in the man cave. It is really a classic design and very pleasing to the eye, at the same time that it conveys the slick, aggressive and penetrating noise that it is capable of. The inlay on the headstock, and neck are gorgeous and flawless. Fine flashy pearl sharkfins mark the ebony fretboard which I have kept oiled and in new condition. Frets show wear but have lots of life and no buzz. New strings installed and professionally set up recently.This RR1 plays like no other guitar that I ever had. The neck through construction gives endless sustain and is rigid to play. The neck is slim but still feels very resonant in your hands, and not flimsy or flat like my Ibanez.The Duncan pickups are surprisingly versatile, and capable of a range of tones and music styles. I lot of the "Metal" guitars that i have played seem like one trick ponies, only good for high end solos or crunchy background. Not this lady, the tonal quality that i get out of this i would compare to my favorite Les Paul just faster!The serial number is listed and if you reference the Jackson website it will show as a San Dimas customs shop model from 84-85. This really was the golden era of the Charvel and Jackson guitars, and the craftsmanship on this one really shows the love that was put in. The original big Jackson case is included in the purchase. It has multiple stickers, tape and scratches on the exterior, but the interior upholstery is in great condition.I've never had to write up a sales pitch on a guitar before, and I hope that i was able to convey how nice this one is.
