Description

Martin 1952 5-15T Tenor Guitar with DeArmond pickup and original case. EXC Condition all mahogany Martin tenor guitar. This guitar plays and sounds fantastic. Electric or acoustic the tone is superb. it comes with the original case and original tortoise shell flat picks and a few fingers picks as well. NOTE: 2 of the finger picks are nickel Oval 8 National picks made in the 1940s - 50s - so highly desirable too. The condition is very good with no cracks or even finish cracks. it has spent most of it's life in the case. There is a repair on the bridge where at the saddle are 3 brass screws and it's very stable. The action is great and lots of wear left on the frets. the pick guard also has some shrinkage which is normal for a guitar this age. The  DeArmond pickup works great and sounds incredible. The original owner put in a jack for the pick up on the lower bout and it works good and is solid too. Check out the photos there are a couple of wear dings around the jack and the headstock but nothing major. This guitar really looks amazing for a 60+ year old instrument. The original chipboard case is in good shape. It does have a tear at one of the hinges and some wear on the inside compartment. I'm not sure if it had a flap for the inside compartment but one is not present.  The moment you hear and play this guitar you'll fall in love. It really has the tone and mojo of these older Martin tenors.
