Kay blonde faux tiger-striped from the 50's with a teisco goldfoil mounted in the neck. The neck is STRAIT, low action and does not fret out. It has been pro setup and every note on the fretboard rings true and on the money. The cosmetics are 9/10. It has a devil-head volume knob (no tone). This knob can be switched out for a vintage Kay silver knob that matches the amps on request. This guitar is sometimes called the "Cobain" model because he strums one in the "Come AS You Are" video. I'm from Seattle but not a huge fan and there is a good change that the guitar was just laying around at the time of the shoot and he thought it was "cool." Whatever... regardless, the guitar is cool. This comes in a non-original chip case. The Amp is a matched Kay 503a that has been serviced, three pronged and has been played regularly for the past two years. I would have to check to see if the tubes are original but I do have two of these so I'm fairly confident it will have all vintage tubes. These goldfoils as you know have a low output, I imagine this one is around 4k. These amps are less than five watts so the rig is very quiet, too quiet. So I'm including an unused Mofex Tube Boost Clone. Check them out on YouTube- and check out how much they go for $.I'm sorry but I will not split up this set unless a ridiculous offer is made for the guitar. Also for any seriously interested watchers, I will be removing this posting in two weeks and making further modifications to it for a vintage/custom guitar exhibit I will be having. It will become part of a numbered "series" at that time. The price is firm and higher than I'd like to compensate for the free shipping from Hawaii. If you don't want the case I can go down $50 because the size of the box will be reduced.Mahalo HuiSonny
