This is a 1978 Marshall 2203 JMP Mark 2 Master Model 100 watt head. The head is in overall good condition, but it has the dings, scratches, etc. that you would expect from a 38 year old amp. The Marshall Logo on the head box is broken on the left leg of the M, and one of the plastic corners on the front is gone. The two screws that hold one of the feet on are new. Other than that the amp is completely original as far as I can tell. The power tubes ( EL 34 ) are 2 J.J.’s and 2 Groove Tubes. The preamp tubes ( 12ax7 )are a J.J., a Mesa, and a Fender. This is considered by many one of the best years for the 100 watt Master Volume amps, and this one sounds excellent. The master lets you use it in any size room with no problem, with the rich sound only a 100 watt amp can give. Thanks for looking.
