1966 Gibson ES-335
Estimated price for orientation: 2 995 $
Category: Gibson Es335 Ele
Class:
Description Brand: Gibson String Configuration: 6 String Model: ES-335 Exact Year: 1966 Body Type: Semi-Hollow Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Dexterity: Right-Handed
1966 Gibson ES-335 TDC
serial # 800897
Excellent condition with original caseThis guitar came to me with a set of high output 80’s era pickups and a coil tapping switch.
It also had the original trapeze tailpiece replaced at some point with a stop T/P; the work looks professionally done.
I put in 2 Kent Armstrong P90’s and a new wiring harness with new pots and jack.
I have the original pick guard (slightly warped) and wiring harness (both pictured and included) and the pots date to 1965.The guitar appears to have original frets (with medium wear) , has no breaks or apparent repairs and plays very well with a fast thin neck. I have the action set extremely low without any fretting problems. The finish has reasonable player wear but nothing major.Buy a set of vintage pickups and turn this back into a (mostly) original ’66 worth much more than I’m asking. Many of these guitars were modified with the stop T/P and still trade for high prices in this condition.
