Badges 6130367/6130457/6130466/6130516
Snare 6133400Drums, Cases & Hardware are BRILLIANT!I have no major blemishes or flaws to report for the shells, hoops, or brilliant finish. There are two tiny imprints on the BD under one Tom, not visible to the naked eye, but you can find it if you look hardCymbals are Crap
BUT, they're ZILDJIAN crap
The series is Scimitar, the predecessor of ZBT
Crash & Ride are key holed, but workable when properly clamped & angled
Cymbals are tone-taped. You can remove the tape if you want them louder
I wouldn't record with them or play them over hot mikes
But they are adequate for casual playing, practice, and un-miked gigs
I would much prefer these to the current $199 ZBT package
These cymbals are thick with plenty of Brass content
The Hi-Hats sound surprisingly above average Drums are in good round
Hardware exteriors look great, but I didn't buff the inside bits of the cymbal stands where the less shiny, surface oxy & grit likes to accumulate.
I'll leave that to you. Also noteworthy, This is a one owner kit. My friend, Eric, a hobbyist. Drums have always been inside and never gigged. It shows. He played them without bottom heads. I acquired the drums recently and recorded with them open-bottomed. AMAZING TONE open like that, very clean, without rattle, hum, or overtones! With 3 sets myself and being a small person, this setup is a too big for me, so I'm passing on the love. This is an amazing, head-turning, ear burning set-up for someone out there! I put bottom heads & rims from another Ludwig kit on here for you. It will take some tweaking/tuning to get them to sound the way you like, or I can do it for you to minimize tweaking when you receive them. The Silver Dot heads still have life left in them and will suffice well for jamming and tweaking until you figure out what you want to replace them with. These are VERY "Boomy" and "Live" sounding, so taming over-ring with resonant heads takes a bit of work on dampening and tuning. These are very loud, punchy drums with really good tone, and good in-round, so you've got what you need to create your perfect sound, whatever that is. Personally I'd love to hear this set with Aquarian P2's or StudioX heads on it. I think it would be unstoppable! The bottom rims & heads I added to finish out the kit are in good shape, minus the floor tom bottom rim, which is pretty much a prop. Replace it.SHIPPING:Purchase will be paid separately and in addition to Auction Price, by you. Method will be determined and executed between you and I as to what is best for your situation. We have many options on shipping, depending on where you live. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio.Email me your location if you want an estimate ahead of time.If you're within reasonable distance, I will deliver for a reasonable fee of $50 + mileage not to exceed $.50 per loaded mile or meet you half-way.If you're 200+ miles away, I suggest we use UShip. This is a LOT of stuff, and a LOT of weight. So if you don't mind waiting a week to line up transport, this would be the cheapest way to get all your drums "plug-n-play" ready in their individual cases. I've used UShip A LOT and have nothing but positve, reasonable experiences to report. Plus, we only deal with ONE person, and one bulk delievery. Less chance for lost or damaged packages :-)If you want me to disassemble and nest the drums, cases, etc for shipping via FedEx Home Delivery, I'm willing to do this too, but you're going to spend loads of time re-assembling and tweaking and I'm going to need a couple days to achieve this.I'm Flexible and conscious about saving you money. Local pickup is also an option, post sale.Thank you! Your questions & knowledge are always appreciated here, hit that 'contact seller' button all you like! ˜Bre
