If you would love to own a top flight 1950's style Strat without paying $4 K, this might be your boy! The body, neck plate and screws, neck, tuners, and nut are original Made in Mexico 2010 "Fender Classic Player" and Custom Shop designed. From that nice original start ( and these are great MIM Fender guitars! ) things have been greatly enhanced and improved. How so? First, the original term bridge has been replaced with a professionally installed Callaham Vintage 6-hole trem bridge with steel everything including the massive steel block ( see pictures ). This is a $165 upgrade and it adds massive sustain to a great alder body. ( If you want a Callaham whammy bar, you can get one ). Next, the moderate pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncan 5-2 RWRP Strat pickups. These are Nashville level pickups with both Alnico 2 and 5 magnets. Again, a $200 upgrade. Next we have a very nice custom made Warmoth "Anaconda" Pickguard, and without that pesky volume knob that usually gets in the way! This is a $50 enhancement. Beneath the Pickguard is a Callahan aluminum shield ( $35 ). The pots are CTS solid shaft with heavy cool knobs, an American made CRL 5-way switch, and a fine Switchcraft jack. The enhancements on this guitar are worth over $450. And it will ship is a nice used Fender USA hard shell case. Such a deal. The guitar is minty fresh and plays great.
