Fender Telecaster Deluxe, MEGA RARE, ‘71, Deryck – SUM 41, 2005 --- FREE DELIVERY AUSTRALIA WIDE --- 2004-05, Crafted In Japan, “P” serial This one is an absolute treat and a MEGA rare find Why? … Why so rare you ask? Because technically it does not even exist! This is a NON catalogue production, TD71/TD41 - DK-441 model Something only talked and heard about it the Fender Japan world It is an unofficial Deryck Whibley (Sum 41) modelled Telecaster Deluxe Fender Japan has made MANY unofficial artist models, some common, Like the SRV stlye Stratocaster - ST62-G, or the Kurt Cobain style Jaguar - HJG-66KC etc. Then not so common and barely even know like this one Squier made a cheap low end model with bridge pickup and vol/tone control only This version keeps closer to Deryck’s actual set up with both Bridge and Neck humbuckers Unlike Deryck’s, this model keeps the original 2 vol, 2 tone control and 3 way toggle switch Just like a’72 Telecaster Deluxe (TD72 Fender Japan model) (rumour has it that Fender Japan did make yet another alternate to this one with 2 humbuckers and one single volume control only, but yet to see one in the flesh) Now for the fun part and specs…… It has JUMBO sized frets, unlike the vintage/thin size normally found on a ‘72 It has a wide range Fender JPN neck humbucker The Bridge humbucker has been upgraded to a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB humbucker This is the same humbucker as Deryck Whibley uses The pickguard has been factory designed to take any standard spacing humbucker in the bridge position. It does not have the larger opening, and 2 by 2 bolt holes for the large range humbucker – like a normal Telecatser Deluxe would have. This makes it perfect if you want to swap and change the bridge humbucker in the future, because it is a ready to go and quick fit. But I do not think you will want to the SD JB humbucker has a MASSIVE tone Awesome for most styles, exceptional for rock/punk Unlike a standard Telecaster, the back of this body has the contoured cutaway Perfect for a closer, and more comfortable playing style Large Strat headstock, 70’s period correct logo Sealed “F” scroll tuners, 6 saddle string through bridge Bullet truss rod, 3 point, micro tilt, “F” scroll neck plate High gloss black body, three ply black pickguard It is an alder body Alder body, with great sustain 7.25” board, 42mm nut, “C” profile, Maple neck, fretboard Even if you are not a fan of the band SUM41 this guitar is an awesome find It is near new condition, with an excellent set up and action It plays fast and hard, and it sounds MASSIVE with the right amp behind it Includes a Fender Gig Case ITEM CONDITION All machinery, electrical, and pickups are perfect.
