Fender American Vintage '65 Jazzmaster in the ultra rare Firemist Silver with matching headstock. The color is somewhere in-between Ice Blue Metallic and a very light faded Lake Placid Blue, super hard to photograph, but it's stunning in person. Purchased in 2014 from Sweetwater, in the 5 minutes they were available...While exact numbers have never been released on this color, it was part of an incomplete FSR order for European dealers in 2014. From what I gather, Sweetwater eventually bought the stock already made for the order that did not end up in Europe. The unofficial answer is only 49 were made before the order was cancelled, but I have also heard a total of 150 units were produced. What I do know - it's rare.Just a hair under 8 lbs and very well balanced. If it was not for two slight dents, some blemishing on the back, and very minor paint checking near the neck joint, it would be mint. Comes with most of the original case candy.It is important to note that this type of finish will check quicker than modern finishes, as it is a '65 reproduction.
