International shipping is $129.Offered here is a professional eight channel mic preamplifier by very respected Swiss manufacturer of pro audio equipment STUDER, model D19. The special thing about this unit is that it has been professionally modified to give its user two separate eight channel output options (both digital and analog). Besides factory analog to digital option (up to 20bit however), there are eight analog balanced outputs, so each mic preamp channel can be patched directly to your favorite A/D converter or a mixing console for farther analog processing.The mic preamps have about 70db gain (enough to power any microphone, including vintage ribbons) and are on par with other Studer preamps found in their 900 series consoles. Please, note that all other functions (filters, pad, phantom power 48V) are fully functional with one exception: the phase switch is not operable as it was designed to be switched electronically and with the mod for fully balanced eight outputs, this could not be incorporated. The user can however reverse the phase in post-production or if needed badly during tracking session, it is just a matter of replacing pin 2 (hot) for pin 3 (cold) on your cable to achieve the same effect.This units sounds great and will beat any modern units which cost twice as much on the market (Phoenix Audio for example). This is because of very nice sounding I/O Studer transformers and their knowledge of analog signal chain. Studer has been around for a very long time and is highly respected among professional recording engineers, especially in the European Union. This is a solid state unit.
