This is an original 1974 Fender Jazz Bass neck. There is no date stamped on this one as you see often on these year models. The matching neck plate is in another auction. Dates it to 1974. Also the pearloid inlay was used on the maple necks starting in 1974. In 1975 they went to a 3 bolt neck and a bullet truss rod. This is a rare transitional model that had the 4 bolt neck and the pearloid inlay. It is in EXCELLENT condition for the age. This is an "A" width neck. 1-1/2". Has a few nicks and dings, but is in all in all great condition. All of the binding is in good condition. Very good for the age. It is straight as an arrow and the truss rod works great. Nut is all in tact and it plays like a dream. It will be well packed and ready for safe arrival. Insured of course. This is a fair price, but make me an offer.
