Hofner Club 50, from 1959. Serial number 751. Original machine heads,tailpiece,control panel. There is an after market bridge installed, but the original bridge is supplied. There are the usual digs, dings and scratches conducent to a played instrument of this age. 2 Hofner diamond pups have been added, which were purchased in Germany. I am informed they are new/old stock made by Schaller for Hofner in the 80's. These pups are based on the Humbucker with twin coils.Overall this is a splendid example of a piece of modern music history made famous by groups such as the Beatles who had and played this model in their inventory.
There is evidence of a very old neck repair, shopwn in the last photo, which I understand from the previous owner was cured and repaired by a Luthier in Denmark Street London in the 70's. It is a very solid repair with absolutley no adverse effect on the payability. A very nice guitar with a good sound. Overseas buyers please email for shipping costs.
