This MIDI-capable TR-808 has been tested and IS FULLY functioning properly. Cosmetically this 808 is an 8: it's showing some light wear for its age and in a few small spots above back panel jacks & below sequencer buttons there has been black paint reapplied to the finish (see pics). The snare volume pot has a small crack in it, however, it is still fully functional. The 808 will come with a new, not installed, snare volume pot. The power is 120V US.Also included are a protective deck cover, dust cover, and travel case shown in pictures. This 808 has the CHD midi retrofit allowing it to slave to MIDI sync and/or be used as a MIDI sound module. I will include a manual, custom MIDI cable and the original start/stop button. Here are the retrofit highlights: The TR808-M MIDI retrofit enables your Roland TR-808 to be integrated into MIDI system. TR-808's sequencer timing can be synchronized with MIDI clock and TR-808's sound generators can be triggered by MIDI notes. TR-808 then works like polyphonic velocity sensitive MIDI drum sound expander. More over, all original features of the TR-808 are not changed and it can be used the same way as before the interface installation.Features:Mode of sequencer synchronization control and method of triggering of individual sound generators are controlled via MIDI Program Change commands.Program map can be fully defined by user:
- Sequencer of TR-808 can be synchronized by internal tempo generator or by MIDI clock.
- Start / Stop (transport functions) can be controlled by panel button or by "Start", "Stop" and "Continue" MIDI transport commands or both ways simultaneously.
