RARE!! 22.5" Scale 1971 Fender Mustang Competition Red Matching Headstock Guitar

It pains me to part with this! I have things going on and need the funds so selling it with NO RESERVE on auction, and starting it at .99 Cents. I know it's a gamble, but I will honor the ending bid price, no matter how low it sells for. I will not end the auction early, please name your price by bidding!That said, this is an early 1971 year model, 22.5" (Short) Scale Fender Mustang electric guitar with the original "Competition Red" nitro finish with an original matching headstock (additional photos embedded below). It must have been a dealer special order with the short scale and Fender was phasing out the matching headstock at point in production. The original owner really loved to play this little Mustang! As you can see, the finish is heavily warn from play. The color has faded to almost a "Candy Tangerine" shade of color in places, mostly on the back, and it has dings, dents, lacquer checking and other blemishes all over that you can see in the photos. I've checked over the guitar and taken photos, all of the parts appear to be original except the neck has had a re-fret. All of the electrical components function properly, the pickup switches function flawlessly, the pots have no functional issues and do not "crackle" when adjusted, and the original pickups sound amazing. The original case is in good condition and is included.
