Description Brand: Vintage Sound Type: Electric Guitar Amplifier Amplifier Type: Combo Model: Vintage 40 Impedance (ohms): 4ohm Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Amplifier Technology: Vacuum Tube
For sale is my 2012 Vintage Sound super reverb in a 2x10 configuration. It has new Weber speakers (10F150/10A125, with factory break-in) in a Mather cabinet. I upgraded the speaker wiring harness to Evidence Audio Siren II and completely re-tubed it recently. Comes with verb/vibe footswitch and padded cover. The power tubes are brand new TAD 6L6WGC, just installed and biased by Rick Hayes himself when I took the amp in for a check-up around Christmas. We also put in an NOS Sylvania 5R4GB recto tube, to lower the headroom a bit. Most of the preamp tubes are NOS too. V1 and V2 are RFTs, V3 is a Jan Phillips 12AT7, V4 is a Brimar, V5 is an EH (or something similar), V6 is also a Jan Phillips 12AT7. This amp is literally like new, and still under Rick's original, fully transferable warranty. It looks and sounds beautiful. SRV tone for days. Diaz tremolo mod on Channel 2 (accessed by turning the Intensity pot fully counterclockwise), with reverb and trem on both channels. Otherwise, it's the standard circuit. For you techie types who are wondering about the 2x10's, this amp was a custom build with a 4 ohm output tranny, which allows me to run a pair of 8 ohm speakers at 4 ohms. So, none of that impedance mismatching business. Anyway, this is a totally rock-solid amp, with a clean bill of health from Rick.Feel free to ping me with any questions.Cheers!
