This is a true CBS Fullerton Stratocaster, in a collector condition. A classic example of a well maintained and cared for vintage instrument. Yes, the guitar has it's tiny dings, here and there, but only surface dings, barely noticeable. If it was hard for me to capture this in the photos then you can imagine how minimal these imperfections are. This is the best looking guitar for this price you will find anywhere! And you can see that in the photos.Judging by the serial number, this is most likely 1979 possibly late 1978 CBS model. It looks to me that all the parts are genuine and original. There is no crackle or noise in the operation and the strings are low with great action (brand new Ernie Ball Extra Slinky 8-38). The guitar stays in tune and there are no structural issues whatsoever. The rod adjustment works fine and the neck is straight. The frets look actually pretty good for a 35 year old instrument. The pearl inlays are bright and shimmering and the string saddles were disassembled and cleaned/lubed and then adjusted for a smooth, low action. The pickups seem to be original with serials stamped on them and the orange pill capacitor is 0.050uF which is a good match for this guitar. The neck is maple and rosewood and the body is dry, sturdy Ash. The pickups are wired "vintage style" and they just jingle with freshness. The 6 pickup poles (cores) are flush (not staggered and not beveled) on each pickup. The pickups read around a regular 6 kOhm range which is accurate for the era.
Overall, the guitar is very smooth to the touch and it just sparkles and shimmers all over. It just looks so fresh and clean, inside and out. The serial on the neck matches the serial on the sticker in the neck heel cavity. The guitar has a good sound transfer and resonance. The wood is undoubtedly very dry and my digital scale reads 8.146 lbs for the complete instrument with strings on.

There is nothing wrong with the guitar cosmetically or technically speaking. It looks great and it sounds even better.
The guitar will be offered with a brand new 18 foot cord as seen in photos, and with used, vintage strap, also visible in the photos. The original black tip tremolo handle which belongs to the guitar will be included.
Please keep in mind that in order to use the tremolo you have to loosen up the 5 springs in the back. The instrument will be packaged and protected well, with relaxed strings and in a plain cardboard box.
I have cases and gig bag options to go with this guitar!!! I can offer you a pictured black, plastic, Fender embossed case, or a Tweed case (unused) or a gigbag. Each option will be extra but we can negotiate the total price.
