I want to be clear. This guitar is really new. In the late 90's and early 2000's I bought a lot of guitars to put away. As I am getting older and need to downsize, a lot of "stuff" has got to go. I had well over 50 guitars and basses and am down to about 40 now. Rather than go on with my history, here is how Musicians Friend described this Fender AMERICAN VINTAGE '52 TELECASTER Butterscotch Blonde Guitar in their sales flyer:"American Vintage '52 Tele. True to the classic original that revolutionized the electric guitar! All original specs are adhered to in this faithful reissue, including neck shape, fretboard, radius, hardware, pickups, and electronics. Features 2 American Vintage Tele pickups, orginal Tele bridge, and vintage pickup switching (bridge/neck-bright/neck dark). Premium ash body with tinted maple neck. Butterscotch blond finish. Includes Fender tweed hardshell case, ashtray bridge cover, wiring kit for conversation to modern switching, vintage leather strap, cable and polishing cloth."This guitar includes all the original hang tags. The goodies are still in the original sealed package. The strings are original as from the factory and obviously will need to be changed. Both Sam Ash and Musicians Friend are listing this guitar for $1,999.00. Don't know about their shipping charges. One more thing about the date. It is either a 2004 or 2005. I have my original purchase receipt which clearly shows I bought the guitar on November 10, 2004. I checked the fender dating feature of their website and it is confusing to me but I think it says the serial number is from 2005. I'll go with the 2004 year as that is what is on the receipt.I am listing this guitar less that Sam Ash and Musicians Friend. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.Sorry, I no longer ship internationally.
