Product Type: Tenor Banjo

This is a Bacon & Day tenor banjo. The model is a Super Banjo Style A the serial number is ( 24164 ) The numbers on neck dowel & rim both match. The number dates this 1927. The finish has places on the neck , resonator and worn thru, and scratches. A couple of the scratches  on resonator that is thru the finish. The finish also has checking. The neck dowel has a broken screw in it plus a couple other small holes in dowel see picture. There is a couple small holes on the inside of resonator. I think that the holes were probably from some one putting a light inside. This has Grover Pancake tuners & Presto tailpiece. The nickle plating is worn off on spots on the brackets & bracket shoes also spots on the flange. The plating on the  armrest is worn thru in too. The flange has places that are dinged & scratched also a few places that need straightened. This banjo is in original condition. Except for a used Stewart MacDonald 5 Star head that I had , and put on it. When I got this banjo it had a broken calf skin head on it. I just put a new set of light gauge GHS strings & a new 5/8 " bridge on this. This does have the original hard shell case, but in very rough condition. I tried to describe this as accurate as I could.              THANKS  FOR LOOKING !
