The Hurdy Gurdy presented in this auction is an incredibly beautiful intrument. It is a hand made work, the only one and unique HG of this kind. The resonant box was made of big wooden block. It was carved as it was made in the past. All the elements such as wooden pegs, were made specially for this instrument. The only modern element are the strings, but you can always replace them with gut strings if you like to. What makes this Hurdy Gurdy exeptional is the way of adornment; all the decorations are wood burning art. This instrument is used, but in perfect condition and ready to play.
