Blue's active ribbon microphone design, this sounds very similar to the classic vintage ribbon microphones. A very smooth and "true to the source" microphone, Blue offers its class-A discrete electronics at an amazing price. I received this as a gift but never even plugged it in, so it's essentially a new microphone being sold at an used price.
