What makes this guitar special: A great playing, clean piece built to the artist’s specifications and modeled after one of most iconic Strats in rock n roll history. This 2000 model marks the last year of production before they switched over to the Vintage Noiseless pickups, with a set of Gold Lace Sensors that sound positively terrific. The active midboost circuit is a great complement as well, and works amazingly for a quick solo boost. This black beauty has been professionally setup by our in-house luthier with fresh strings and low action, ready to play right out of the case.Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age with some typical players wear throughout, with various scratches, nicks, dings, chips, and dents, along with some typically swirling and light buckle rash, as well as some edgewear on the fingerboard.Body: Solid alder body in black finish with single ply white pickguard and 6-screw tremolo bridge. The wood block behind the tremolo has been removed and is not included in the sale.Weight: 8 lb, 1 ozNeck: Full C-shaped maple neck with black side dots, black dot inlays, and skunk stripe. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Headstock sports the standard Fender decal (faded a bit with age) as well as an Eric Clapton signature and “Blackie” stamp. Vintage style tuners function perfectly. Neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should.Electronics: Gold Lace Sensor single-coil pickups with 5-way pickup selector switch and white skirted knobs, 2x tone, 1x volume.Case: Unoriginal Fender hard shell case included.
