Modified conservatory system key work, low Bb / forked F resonance / A-Bb and C-D trills, vintage grenadilla wood oboe, The wood in this oboe is dense and very finely grained. The bore is in excellent condition, no nicks or scratches. This oboe has been completely reconditioned and regulated by Allegro Winds Woodwind Repair in Columbia, SC. Cork pads are 100% as are all bladder pads. The tenons have metal reinforcing caps and good corks. Bore  and body has been oiled.  One Jones oboe reed and silk swab included. Comes in a sturdy Linton case. Ready to play out of the case. The serial number of this oboe is 18528. The keys have nickel plating with considerable playing wear. I can't find any serial number info for Signet oboes, however this oboe was made in Elkhart Indiana. From the patina of the keys and quality of construction I believe this instrument was built in the 1960's or 50's. This was in an era when Signet instruments were hand crafted quality instruments and some of the best made in America.
