This listing is for a really cool and great sounding Vintage 1967 Gibson Firebird III Electric Guitar. This guitar was made in the USA in Circa 1967. The guitar is really cool looking and the finish is the original custom color Sparkling Burgundy finish. Unfortunately the headstock was severely cracked at one time and then professionally repaired. The repair to the headstock was really expertly done. The guitar has been professionally Set Up and plays and sounds killer. The neck is straight and the action is low and comfortable and the guitar resonates like a tuning fork and sustains beautifully.. The parts on the guitar are original but the original maestro-vibrato arm assembly has been partially removed and the guitar was converted to a hardtail which in my opinion always makes these guitars play better. If you have the arm piece the original Tremolo-Vibrato could easily be restored. Aside from the repaired headstock cracks the guitar shows a good amount of play wear including lots of nicks, dings and scratches. The guitar also has it's share of finish checking. As is fairly typical with Sparkling Burgundy Gibson guitars the finish has faded unevenly and some parts are still quite red and others have turned more of a copper-brown color. The guitar comes with a non original hard shell case and will be expertly packed for safe shipping. Please look at the pictures and email questions,Thanks for looking,,,
