Soares’y Guitars - 8 String Tenor Guitar - Arch Top -
This is the first of our new line of 8 String Arch Top Electric
Guitars - We are still working out some little bugs on them -
Nothing major - Just a little extra space around the neck
pocket - And a small bit of chattering at the pocket from the
router - Nothing big at all - Plays great - Nice action on the
neck - Great sound as an acoustic - Or Electric - While we
call this or copy of a Vintage Gibson - We like to think that
we did a better job on how we build them - First this is a true
hollow body - Not a Semi - So it has a full tone as an
acoustic -As an electric - We added a nice quality
Humbucker pickup for a clean tone - Great bottom end as
well - You will note that un like a Vintage Gibson - We
adjusted the neck to the body so that the bridge sets in the
sweet spot of the body for better tone - Gibson used the
same body as a standard guitar and just added a shorter
scale neck - Witch made the placement of the bridge up on
the body - Out of the sweet spot - While we are also working
on them to have a set neck - This is still in the works - This
one is set up with a bolt on neck - This is our custom made
tenor neck - 22 3/4” Scale - 1 1/4” At the top nut - Neck is
solid maple with no grafts - Rosewood fingerboard - And a 2
Way adjustable truss rod - The body is a nice full sized one -
16” Lower bout - And 2 3/4” At the side rib - It is a Maple Ply
body - Fully bound at the edge as well as the F holes - All
made from new parts in our shop - Made in the USA - The
guitar also comes with a very nice quality hard well fitted
ply case - Neck and bridge are fully adjustable - Bridge is a
floater - So the Intonation can be adjusted as needed - And
yes - While we are not offering to change this one - Closing
down the shop for the winter - This can be re strung as an
Octave Mandolin - Set up with CC GG DD AA - Tuning -
