1937 Old Kraftsman Registered Supreme Model 8708 Acoustic-Electric Guitar with Taylor Hardshell CaseUsed - Good Condition Here's a rarity for you...a vintage 1937 Old Kraftsman Registered Supreme Model 8708 Archtop acoustic guitar with a K&K Sound Definity pickup installed! Most of the Old Kraftsman archtops you find on the market were made by Kay Musical Instruments, but according to research, in 1936 and 1937 they were made by Gibson for Chicago's Spiegel special order catalog. This Model 8708 is one of those gems! It was named the "Registered Supreme" because each guitar was made with the owner's initials placed onto the hand-carved Eastern Spruce top on three "gold leaves." This hand-carved top along with the Curly Maple back and sides and finished a classic sunburst and checkerboard binding around the top make this guitar stand out with superior beauty. And the Mother-Of-Pearl fretboard and headstock inlays push the guitar's beauty even further. But you wanna know how it sounds? This grand auditorium sounds ultimately incredible, just playing it acoustically. When plugging the K&K Sound p'up into an amp, none of that incredible, woody tone gets lost! You will probably never find another 80 year old guitar that looks and sounds as fantastic as this one!
