For sale is a wood flute made by the William S. Haynes Company in 1917. It is paired with a modern Folkers and Powell Full Circle wood headjoint with an embouchure copied from a Louis Lot flute. This combination works quite well and produces a sweet yet full sound at a pitch of a=435. The body was made in 1917 and bears a serial number of 3883 with a sounding length of 605mm. The body was overhauled just a few months ago by Pat Nash of Mynett Music and is in marvelous playing condition. At the time I had Pat fit the Full Circle head to this body, and the resulting pairing is quite nice. I have also added a non-original tenon cover to protect the cork on the flute body; it is held in place by Teflon tape and protects the cork from wear but could be removed in seconds for use with an older style wood headjoint. This is really a sweet combination that plays and sounds just a good as an original headjoint. Comes in a non-original case along with the original metal tenon covers for the Haynes body. Very nice flute with a traditional woody sound that make these instruments so desirable!! Note: This lovely flute is being relisted due to non-payment.
