The German company SIE Semrau manufactured high quality mixers for broadcast studio from the 70´s to the early 90`s. They used best components such as Haufe transformers and so the new price of this mixer was DM 22.000,- (Euro 11.000,-) at about 1990. The mixer was recently serviced by digital audio service and sounds very good. The master includes a very good limiter. I visited the manufacturer here in Hamburg that used to build these and met with a technician who gave me the full original schematics including hand written notes by the designers! A little piece of history which will also give peace of mind should anything ever need to be replaced. The powersupply is a custom job up to most modern standards by digital audio service to provide the best possible flow of power.
Here s a short overview of the mixer features:- 3 Band EQ switschable per channel
- High pass filter switchable per channel
- 48V Phantom switchable per channel
- Mic/Line (both XLR) switchable per channel (leave everything connected)
- Aux 1/2 Pre/post selectable per channel (great as recording bus)
- Aux level on pot per channel
- Mute per channel
- Solo per channel
- L/R or L+R routing
- very high quality components throughout
- Haufe transformers on every section!
Sounds way!!!!!!! better than any current small mixer I know. After looking at the schematics, some profesionals told me it is basically a copy of a Studer mixer with improved headroom! (24 V +-) I am already regretting selling it but I have not used it in over a year and it's time to let someone new enjoy this beautiful piece of audio engineering. You can have a look at the schematics here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/49667175/Semrau.PDFYou can lsiten to the last album "Evolve" I made with this mixer here: www.setsuna.de
No warranty or returns as this is a vintage piece of audio equipment. it is in great shape though as the pictures show. I will throw in 6 XLR to line female cables (basically DI boxes with no sound footprint) that I had made as I mostly had synths connected to it, which allow you to keep 14 line level signals permanently connected. I also include 3 custom cables you will need from 5 pin XLR to normal 3 pin XLR for connecting the Main, Aux and Monitor outputs. All on Neutrik plugs ofcourse with high grade cable material. Plug in and go!
International bidders welcome, please contact me for insured shipping costs, only actual shipping costs will be charged.
Enjoy!
