Vintage/Aged Relic Stratocaster/Strat Guitar

Thank you for viewing my listing:Olympic White Relic Strat guitar
This is a lovely guitar, lovingly put together over months and with all the right age related nicks and scrapes and scars. It's not a beaten to death with a chain relic; but carefully and sympathetically aged in every way from the cellulose paint to the plastics and everything in between.
A hard colour to photograph right!!! Especially trying to show the contrast with the green guard and the white! Anyhow, on with the details!
*Two piece alder body (built by guitarbuild) finished in a faded olympic white. Olympic white was one of those colours that wasn't always top coated with clear lacquer; and so some of them retain that real whiteness whereas those that have been clear coated often fade to a much more yellow colour. This is pretty much in the middle! It has been top coated and that is also what has allowed the lacquer to crack.
*The neck is NOT an allparts one, nor is it a fender one; rather it is an old copy that I pulled off something so long ago i can't actually remember what! It really is a pretty decent neck, but it is not the quality in some ways of its mentioned counterparts; so Ive started the bidding lower than i would have if it had had a different neck. But that is not to put you off, simply to explain why the price difference. This neck cost me nothing, so i can pass the saving on to the buyer; and the quality of the work is just as it would be on any of the other guitars I sell. The profile is about 9 and 1/2 inches; the back is quite shallow and its quite a thin but very solid feeling neck. The frets are medium jumbo from memory. A lot thicker than vintage size ones. Clay dots. Worn back to the wood on the back. A nice neck to play.
*Kluson nickel tuners.
*Aged mint green pickguard which is a very close match to celluloid nitrate, and i used three separate ones on it before i was happy!! It was the colour contrast between the green guard and the pickup covers that was annoying me! The knobs are deliberately darker in colour, but this hasn't shown up perfectly in the pictures. Its a neat contrast though, and the green against the white looks great. and no pea green in sight! :)
*Large steel block tremolo and bent steel saddles.
*Alnico pickups, texas special type ones. CTS pots and so on.
This really is a cracking guitar and utterly convincing.
I've done a lot of work on refinishing real deal vintage guitars, both fender's and gibson's and my guitars are all over the world now having been bought by players and collectors alike. Never had anything but surprise at how authentic the work is up close (unfortunately pictures never really capture the subtle details); and my work has always been compared right up there with the few people in this game that really know what they're doing.
This is a guitar that won't disappoint.
Any questions feel free to ask.I will ship worldwide, but please email prior to bidding for a shipping quote so i can check the shipping costs.
