Up for auction we have a brilliant set of:- •1930 era Iv--y and Nickel African Blackwood HENDERSON BAGPIPES. •L&M Scotian Pipe Bag (used) with sealer and conditioner. •Powertone Drone Reeds (used) excellent condition •Brand new Gilmore chanter reed •War-Mac chanter (used & carved) excellent condition This set are made out of African Black Wood producing that sound and tone that is distinctive to Henderson and is second to none. With Iv--y and Nickel mounts these pipes really look fantastic. The bores are 100% perfect. No cracks no splits no warps in the stocks, drones or anywhere. For the age, these Pipes are in perfect condition, with only a few minor chips on the iv--y and black wood. Perfectly common for any Bagpipes of this age. A small background for these pipes:- I have played these Pipes for many years all over the World. They have served me extremely well, having helped me win and place in many solo competitions around Australia. I have also played them and been very successful in winning and placing with a few bands for competitions around the world, traveling throughout Australia, New Zealand and Scotland, from the early 1990s through to 2016. I also took them to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo where they performed beautifully every night of the Tattoo, with the tone/sound keeping stable with no issues what so ever. Any purchaser of these Henderson's will be more than satisfied, with not only the price but the condition and most of all the sound. They have that true Henderson sound that is known for its brilliance in tone, throughout the entire piping world.
