A lovely "Steiner" violin from (likely) Weimar Germany needs to find a good player and owner. I'm permanently switched to piano-playing.This violin was bought for me when I was about 16 - purchased from a chamber player who was leaving the country. In October of last it was completely gone over and repaired (bushings included) by Matthias Lehner near Lincoln Center in New York City. New Dominant strings. The fiddle has a warm tone and a nice clarity. It features a pleasant "strad" back and has the imprimature of a nicely-seasoned century old fiddle.I'm getting great reviews from professional players.  It's a good orchestra or solo violin - particularly for an advanced student.  It will ship in a vintage (and very desireable) Lifton case - included in the price.I would recommend NYC-area customers only, but I will ship outside of the city, if a customer chooses it.The fiddle has been informally appraised at $4,500 ~ $6,000.  My price is must-sell.  It's a truly nice instrument.
