Gibsons' top of the line in the evolution of the ES guitar line in 1980. Beautiful sunburst with slight vintage finish checking, gold hardware. Narrow semi-hollow body with figured arched maple top & flame maple sunburst neck. 22 fret bound ebony fretboard in pearl offset inlays. Tune-0-matic bridge with tuneable stop tailpiece. Bound headstock with Gibson custom pearl logo. Dual Gibson humbucking pickups, 2 volume/1 tone control, 3 position switch-active electronics with 3 miniature toggle switches makes for an incredibly versatile tone machine. Original hardshell case UP FOR AUCTION IS 1980 Gibson ES Artist Very Clean. Showing some wear on the gold plating. No real dings or gouges to speak of, light buckle rash but not through the finish. Serial #80500060- Made in Kalamazoo, Frets have plenty of life left in them. Is all original, no mods, There are no issues with this guitar . I have owned it for about 20 years. The last ten years have been under the bed. Original hardshell case. Guitar weighs less than 9 pounds. This is a very nice instrument. Marked “Second” as most of them are.
