The body is made from lightweight alder, and comes dressed in a vibrant, eye-catching nitro lacquer Red Sparkle finish. Just as you'd expect from a Tele Custom, the top back both showcase crisp white binding that gives this Tele its unmistakable Custom-style elegance. The relic treatment used on this Tele provides an authentically well-played, beautifully-aged aesthetic that you'd normally only expect from an actual vintage instrument. The neck of this 1962 Relic Telecaster Custom is the perfect blend of classic feel and modern playability. The 25.5 -scale, nitro-finished quartersawn maple neck is shaped into a mid '60s oval C profile for traditional Fender comfort while the rosewood 'board sports a more contemporary 9.5 radius and modern 6105 narrow jumbo frets.This 1962 Relic Tele Custom delivers that authentic vintage Tele tone, twang, snap and sparkle thanks to a pair of Custom Shop hand-wound '63 Tele pickups, three-way switching and modern wiring. Enhancing the vintage vibe, this Tele comes fitted with relic'd hardware including a set of vintage-style tuners, a vintage-correct strings-through-body 3-saddle bridge with compensated brass saddles, knurled flat-top control knobs, and a 3-ply mint green pickguard.
