The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive! At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving. This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without the care that it, and you, deserve.   The B.B. King Lucille is made to exactly the same specifications as the guitar played by King himself. The most outstanding qualities include a body with no F holes and a fine-tuner tailpiece. The body consists of plain laminated Maple top, back, and rims, with multi-ply binding on both the top and back. The neck is a three-piece Maple neck with Gibson’s traditional rounded profile, a scale length of 24 3/4 inches, and a 22-fret Ebony fretboard that is outlined with single-ply binding and adorned with genuine pearl block inlays. Other appointments include all gold hardware, metal tulip tuners, and a Tune-o-matic bridge.  Comes with a hardshell case. In the history of all music, there has never been a guitar associated with one musician quite like blues legend B.B. King is linked to his beloved Lucille – a custom-built Gibson ES-355 manufactured exclusively for the true “King of the Blues” since 1980. In the winter of 1949, King played at a dance hall in Arkansas. The hall was heated by a barrel half-filled with burning kerosene, a fairly common practice at the time. During a performance, two men began to fight, knocking over the barrel and sending burning fuel across the floor. The hall burst into flames, and the building was evacuated. Once outside, King realized that he had left his guitar inside so he went back into the burning building to retrieve his beloved $30 Gibson guitar. King learned the next day that the two men that started the fire had been fighting over a woman named Lucille who worked at the hall. King named that guitar, and every guitar he subsequently owned, Lucille, as a reminder never again to do something as stupid as run into a burning building or fight over women. In 1980, Gibson launched the B. B. King Lucille model. The most noticeable differences between the Lucille and the ES-335 TD-SV on which it is based are the "Lucille" script on the headstock, the Maple neck, and the lack of F-holes on the top. It was by King's request, that, to reduce feedback there should be no F-holes.   At The Music Farm, we take quality seriously! That is why we have our in-house technicians do a multi-point inspection on each product, ensuring that it'll be ready to play when it hits your hands! Included in your shipment will be instructions on care and maintenance.  We want to help you Grow Your Passion®
