Also known as the Steve Miller model, the guitar features three band equalization for bass, midrange, and treble. The EQ features separate controls for input attenuation and preamp gain. Balancing these controls can give you just about any sound from super clean to heavy distortion.
The guitar has a brand new circuit board (powered by a 9 volt battery).
The complete restoration was finished in June of 2013 by Superior Guitar Works of Fort Washington, PA. The guitar has no scratches and the binding is in perfect condition. The entire body was treated with a lacquer (rather than a polyurethane) finish for even warmer tone and sustain.
The guitar comes with aftermarket pickups (Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro) installed and the original Super 80 pickups included. The original tuners were replaced with Grover tuners and the original tuners are included also. The original case comes with the guitar, key included. Serial number is I778231 manufactured in Japan. This is a rare opportunity to own a fully restored, basically mint-condition vintage Ibanez Artist. Please do not hesitate to ask questions!
