Features Pristine sound quality you can afford 8 group and 8 aux sends Dedicated stereo and mono busses 4-band EQ with dual sweepable mids on mono inputs Remote power supply Description Product Description The IM8-32 is a professional level analog audio console produced at Yamaha’s main factory in Japan. The console has a large, familiar, open layout allowing easy operation. It offers 100mm long travel faders and metering on all ins and outs. In addition to the 32 mono inputs, the IM8-32 is equipped with 4 full featured stereo inputs AND 4 stereo Aux returns. Additionally there is a 2-track input, accessible from the rear panel on RCA jacks and at the front edge of the console on an 1/8” stereo jack, perfect for an I-pod or other MP3 player. USB connectivity is also supported for 2 track recording and playback. Steinberg’s Cubase AI is included for computer recording applications. All the bus outputs on the console are available on faders for quick visual indication and faster adjustments. There are 4 output Matrices that allow 4 separate mixes to be derived from the busses. The IM8-32 console offers Yamaha’s exclusive single knob compression on every input. This great sounding feature allows subtle level control of unruly vocals or punching up a drum sound. A yellow LED indicator lets the operator know when the compression is active. Built in Japan to the highest standards Yamaha puts on any product, the IM8 is designed and assembled by the same people who build the much more costly PM series touring consoles. Sound quality in the IM8-32 is best in class. Microphone preamplifiers and other circuits not only sound great but are consistent from one channel to the next, examples of the quality unheard of in this price range. One PW8 power supply is included with the console. A second PW8 can be added for redundancy or back up.
