It was founded by Trevor Austin who was previously a euphonium player in the Horse Guards (and played on horseback at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953). Following long service in the Salvation Army as a player and conductor, his reputation led to requests to supply instruments around the UK and overseas. Rosehill is now led by Trevor’s son Paul, who was awarded a Government contract in 1999, and since that time Rosehill has been the supplier of musical instruments to Her Majesty’s Military bands. We also service and repair brass band and military band instruments at our workshops in Beaconsfield, many of which are then supplied overseas.
