I bought this guitar 2 years ago and have taken great care of it since (kept above 65 and humidified). Guitar had the top replaced 5 years ago, so it has new bracing, top, and bridge. Ladder bracing on the back and X bracing on the top, Mahogany back and sides with a spruce top. The updated x-bracing gives this thing better tone than the original ladder braced models. I've had the guitar set up by a professional twice and this thing plays great with really low action. It has a bright tone with great sustain, and holds a good tune! Included with it is the LR Baggs M1A Soundhole Pickup I installed. Plug this thing into an amp and it has an entirely new character with great dynamic range. The case and pick guard are both original along with everything else other than the top and bridge. The guitar is in good condition for being 50 years old. Functionally this thing is perfect (straight neck, and no warping), obviously there are cracks in the lacquer and a few dents from belt buckles but that's what gives these things character. This is a great vintage guitar to add to your collection or just an all around great guitar to play, I've written many songs with this ol girl. Plus Free shipping! Model # 226910 |
