For sale is an excellent, full sized Excelsior/Excelsiola accordion..........What makes this instrument unique to me is the tag on the back..........most of the
Excelsiola boxes I've seen have "made in Italy" on them, but this does not.....instead,
it says "made by Excelsior"............not sure if it was one of the rarer New York made
Excelsiola's or not, but if so, it is a real gem.The accordion needs nothing.............the reed was is excellent, as well as the reeds and leathers.
The bellows appear to be original, but are air tight and clean.Overall, this accordion has had an easy life...........again, I don't know the age but my
guess is that it's a model 620...........I could not find a serial number.........It's 4/5 reeds, with LMMH on the treble side.Tuning is semi-dry...........not hard core musette or anything...........really nice tones
and good all-around sound.I like it because it is relatively light for a full-sized accordion.............when I wanted
to be lazy and use a lighter box for standing, I set aside my Guilietti and Pancordions
and used this one..............Depending on your needs, this instrument is ready to go............it's just a pleasure to play.
