Here is a 1964 Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve vintage guitar amplifier which was sold by Sears. If you’re looking at this auction then you probably know this amp is now considered a classic and for good reason. This one is in excellent working condition. I have more photos that I can send if you're interested. As far as I can tell it is 100% original. Seriously I can’t find anything that’s been altered. Not even a screw. It has the original Silvertone branded RCA tubes, original speakers, original knobs and two-prong power cord. C12-Q speaker codes are 220414. The only thing missing is the footswitch but they pop up on eBay regularly. There’s a little bit of tolex wear on the corners other than that this amp is pristine. I bought it from the original owner about ten years ago and I’ve never had any work done to it. I’ve only used it in a private recording studio environment and it delvers one of the best tones of any amp that I’ve ever owned. It sounds absolutely fantastic especially at louder volumes. It has one of the absolute best cranked, tube overdrive sounds ever. But it also is very nice at lower volumes. You can get a nice, warm bluesy tone or a sparkling Vox AC30-ish chime. The EQ is very versatile. The spring reverb works well but leaves a bit to be desired. It’s unique sounding but it’s certainly not as classic as the Fender reverb of that era. This is due to the amp’s design. The spring is much smaller and housed in the amp head. However the tremolo is fantastic! It has a wide sweep from slow to fast and actually sounds better than some Fender amps that I’ve heard over the years It even has the original Owner’s Manual with schematic. I know this amp is priced a bit high but honestly it would be hard to find a cleaner example than this one.I am an experienced eBay member with over 1,000 transactions and 100% positive feedback so bid with confidence. PLEASE NOTE: Auction is offered only in the Continental USA no international bidders
