Superb condition, stored at 50% humidity. The newly redesigned 2015 Taylor 614ce Left-Handed has taken maple guitars to a whole new level. Featuring a Solid Sitka Spruce top (which has been baked) and stunning Solid Flamed Maple Back and Sides, the 2015 Taylor 614ce Left-Handed will give you a maple experience that you have never enjoyed. With a much richer and warmer sound, the new 614ce will have you realizing a much more complex and resilient tone than that of previous maple guitars. Bigger bottom end and less aggressive treble tones will allow you to play with much more versatility. Here is what is new on the 2015 Taylor 614ce Left-Handed:
Torrefied Spruce Top - Taylor has roasted the top of this guitar to break down the stiff molecular composition of the wood. This allows for the guitar to sound aged and more played in, which leads to the top moving more and sounding much older!Re-voiced Bracing - Taylor has redesigned the bracing to help distinguish the unique sonic personality traits of each body shape. The soundboard bracing was designed to set the top in motion easily. The back bracing was an important area of focus and is specially calibrated to suit the properties of maple. One unique design touch is that the braces don’t extend all the way to the side. This helps produce more volume, projection and low-end warmth, without losing maple’s even response.Wood Thickness and Protein Glue - The wood thickness has been specially selected for the body shape of the guitar. This leads to the best tone for every body shape. Protein glue is being used for the bridge and bracing to allow for less damping and allow for better tone transfer.Cosmetic Upgrades - Grained ivoroid Wing fretboard inlays, Gloss-finish ebony backstrap with inlay, Ebony/grained ivoroid binding and purfling, Paua rosette edged with ebony/grained ivoroid, Ebony-bound soundhole and Striped ebony pick guard.The guitar will be packed in the original Taylor plush-lined deluxe case.
