1920's 30's Vintage Concertone 4 string Tenor Top Tension Banjo Slingerland Rare

1920's 30's VINTAGE 4 STRING TENOR BANJO TOP TENSION STYLE CONCERTONE, MAYBE SLINGERLAND MADE.
This is a very very cool old banjo. From what I can tell this is a Concertone which was a Montgomery Wards trade name. This could have been built by a few different builders, Slingerland or Stromberg Voisinet or someone else. This has a very different kind of flange / rim setup and the top ring is a top tension style. This has a Patent applied for on the flange but no way to track when it was made. This may have been the forerunner of the Gibson Top Tension or it may have been a copy I really don't know but it looks like a 20's early 30's instrument so I tend to think it was a early version of a top tension banjo. I always welcome any information I can get. If you can't afford a Vintage Gibson Top Tension banjo and how many can, you can get this old gal for a fraction of the cost of a Gibson. I'll consider all offers. Any repairs that the new owner would consider needed would be the new owners responsibility. Please take a good look at the pictures they give a good look at the condition of this guitar. The banjo is playable and was used by a gentlemen for performing until very recently. It would also be very nice as a display item and would be a nice addition to a collection. And its priced very reasonable. It has a very old hard case in rough shape but it will be well packed.
