Nice post war horn! NOT Ambassador model, engraving looks like "Custom" model Good condition Olds valve model trombone with slide too. Made in Fullerton in the 1960s Serial 4XXXXX.This example has been not been restored in the past as far as I can see, it shows some light use/wear in the brass & nickel finish from some use over the years, the brass is all in good shape.Looks to be a low hours horn, very tight, good compression. Much air noise when you do compression test on the slide and valves.Few spots on leadpipe, a tech who I showed it to felt it would be fine for 25-30 years if kept properly cleaned, pipe looks clean and shiny inside. Cleaned and gone through by a NAPBIRT tech. Instrument shows some signs of age/use, retaining the qualities that make these early Olds pro instruments real players and such great long lasting well built horns. There is some slight evidence of use, a little nick here and there in the lacquer if you look real close, you will find VERY few flaws in this instrument. Very Nice example of a neat, fun model from that early era.The original factory engraving is in GOOD shape. Horn looks better in the hand than in these photos. These horns feel solid, very pro in the hand, this one shows very nice, NO dents or dings, it does NOT look the the age it is. This instrument has not been restored by me, it has been cleaned inside and out, slide checked for alignment, new water key pad, spring is tight. It is offered in this serviced/original condition.Valves work good, show some age spots. The slide tubes look great and are wicked fast & smooth and this instrument plays very well, has very good compression. This is a solid, attractive, great playing Olds from the later 60s era. Comes in original case for this instrument. Please see our feedback regarding instruments we offer. Can provide more photos, info. Will ship outside USA, see shipping detail.
