CG Conn Professional Model 8D Double French HornThis listing is for a used 1992 silver colored Conn 8D Double French Horn serial number 42 421883. This exact model French Horn goes for about $4,500 new. Sold as-is – please see the pictures for details. I received this horn as a gift in 2003 and played it through 2006. For the last ten years I have had it in storage.All valves and slides move freely. There is an approximately 1” scratched area where your left hand holds the horn, as well as a smaller spot of some wear inside the bell. The bell of the horn has no dents (a couple tiny dings), although there are a few superficial scratches. Otherwise this horn has very few blemishes, all of which would seem like standard wear on an instrument that saw a lot of use.This horn comes with its Conn case that is in great condition with all latches working. I’ll also include a mute and my old Connstellation 7b-w Mouthpiece. From the Conn Website:“The Conn 8D offers the flexibility and projection a horn player needs to succeed at all levels. Its traditional large throat bell and lighter weight all nickel construction than most horns makes this a perfect match for any player.The Conn 8D has been one of the world's most popular horns for decades.
