Offered for sale by auction is this incredibly rare and beautiful George Washburn F style mandolin, made in 1984. The exact model is M6-SW-SB "Jethro Burns". Connoisseurs of the mandolin will know that this is not one of the current Chinese made Washburns, it is one of the original handcrafted Jethro Burns models, and these only rarely come up for sale. Please note the rope design purfling which distinguishes these instruments. The instrument is in excellent playable condition and comes with its original hard-shell case with pink lining. The instrument is in excellent cosmetic order with no scratches, dings or damage, just a little playing wear to the frets and with the patina appropriate to a vintage instrument (a little bloom in the varnish, and some yellowing to the celluloid binding). The postage shown of £15 will cover insured carriage to the UK and Ireland. I am offering this for sale worldwide, and insured courier delivery to the USA will be £60.
