Now a leading name in acoustic-electric guitars, Takamine started out five decades ago as a quintet of luthiers building nylon-string guitars in a small shop at the base of Japan’s central Alps. This guitar sounds awesome and the preamp is fantastic sounding when plugged into an amp. I normally don't care for cutaways on acoustic guitars because it can deaden the sound, but that's not the case on this one. I've played Martin, Taylor and Gibson acoustics that cost thousands more and this honestly plays just as good as those far exceedingly priced instruments. This Takamine is A Great "best bang for your" buck if you are looking to get a pro grand acoustic.This Takamine has the nice playability that this brand is known for. The neck is straight and the frets are Full. The pickup sounds great and everything works as it should. This is a nice, clean guitar in virtually New Condition. The finish is flawless with no marks to speak of. Very nice Antique Stain Finish. Comes in Takamine hardshell case.The versatility of this guitar begins with its solid cedar top that can play sweet mellow passages or power chords with equal ability. The Nato back and sides are a perfect reflector for the tone generated by the soundboard and the gloss Antique stain finish looks great under the stage lights. The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a traditional, ultra strong dovetail joint.This guitar is a bang for the buck champ offering great tone and feel at an incredible price.
