All of the inputs have been tested and work as designed and hold cables tightly. There is no unwanted output noise or hum. This is a great sounding module with tons of sounds and dual/tri-trigger inputs.  Yamaha combined their expertise with acoustic drums and digital sound technology to create the new Yamaha DTX900 Series. Utilizing sound technology from the acclaimed Motif XS and DSP effects from high-end digital mixers, the DTX900K Drum Trigger Module has professional sounds that bring your drumming to life. The module also offers an onboard sampler with dedicated effects with multiple connectivity options. What distinguishes the DTX900 module from all others is SAMPLING! The DTX900 will receive and store more than 1000 samples that can be assigned to the user kit locations, even though the DTX900 gives you 1115 drums, cymbals and percussion sounds along with 211 melodic sounds. 50 preset kits, 50 user kits, 50 preset patterns, 50 user patterns, 40 preset songs and 50 user songs round out the specs. The DTX900 includes 6 individual, assignable outputs for more extensive recording and mixing capability. The Yamaha DTX900 Electronic Drum Trigger Module offers a collection of essential acoustic drum sounds with a broad spectrum of voices taken from Yamaha's world-renowned MOTIF-Series synthesizers. You get a grand total of 1,326 voices. Even on a live stage, these subtle, yet dynamic percussion voices bring forth a compelling drum presence. The DTX900 drum trigger module's Expanded Articulation System creates subtly different samples even when you strike the drum with the same strength. You'll create more natural snare rolls and re-create the feel of a legato ride cymbal or staccato hi-hat. This module is equipped with rich and powerful DSP effects including global effects, such as reverb and chorus, which can be used commonly throughout the whole system, as well as variation effects that can be used on each drum kit.  The DTX900 also features internal recordings of 87 songs from a wide variety of genres.
