My late husband, a tenor jazz player himself, had this 4 string tenor banjo custom made for me by the late Milton C Burley of Chicago about 1980. The neck is the same fret length as a 19 fret banjo, but calibrated with 20 frets. Banjo is good for someone with small hands like myself, The rim is metal instead of wood so the sound carries on stage or outdoors, with a metal tone ring.  Resonator is wood painted white with gold sparkles inside to look flashy on stage. Rim is also covered in gold sparkles. It has a Weather King clear head so gold can be seen inside. All fittings are gold plated. The neck is covered in a gold trim to match trim on resonator with silver fret markings. Back is a little scratched from my costumes but doesn't affect playing. This is a one of a kind banjo that can be enjoyed for many years to come by a player who enjoys a good instrument. It comes with a beautiful case with 4 clasps that is gold velvet lined. Also has a strap, lug key and case key. There are extra strings in the case but don't know how old they are or how good they would still be.Shipping fees include packaging and insurance. Banjo and case are heavy, hence the cost*Note; Milton C Burley was a master violin maker as well as making custom banjos.
