Olivia's Vintage would like to present this 1973 Gibson Custom L-5S in its original Cherry Sunburst finish which shows off its exceptional 2-piece flame maple top and back. It has a great playing neck with good frets. It's all original with the possible exception of the control assembly. Everything is period correct for '73, but the wires show evidence that this control assembly was dropped in and grafted/soldered onto the existing ground and pickup wires rather than the traditional factory connections. It's also 100% complete along with its original hardshell case and an original sales receipt from '79. This L-5S looks great with a few minor nicks + dings, some extremely light finish checking, and other minor cosmetic wear. The back of the neck shows some natural discoloration in the wood underneath the finish (it is not play wear). The guitar itself remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. All electronics work and sound great while providing a very unique tone with its original set of Gibson embossed low impedence pickups.
