For sale: Vintage Orpheum Classic Acoustic Archtop guitar with case, made in USA in 1942 by Harmony of Chicago with 42 stamp.It features a solid spruce top and a solid maple back and sides, wood marquetry binding detail with rare original Kluson tuners, original sunburst finish, with nice comfortable action. This is a very nice instrument, I believe it has a arched top and back. The burst is rich and lustrous and the guitar is just stunning, headstock logo and details intact and still vibrant, faux maple finish on back and sides on real maple. The neck is a nice medium large D shape, probably maple with Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and pearloid dots, bound with side dots. It has bright loud tone with a lot of attack and still plenty of warmth. Responsive, gets loud and snappy if you want it to and will clean up nicely if played fingerstyle or mellow. This is a wonderful guitar for the collector or player! Gorgeous vintage archtop guitar! Guitar show signs of its age and use. The neck finish is cracked and peeling...its the only guitar finish that is really in distress. Please see photos. Yes, I do ship international. Please send location for price.
